More information about Floor and Wall Insulation

Wall and Floor Insulation is like your winter coat and boots.  Though you may wear a hat, you will still be cold if your torso and feet are not covered.

Significant heat can enter/exit the living space through the walls and floors of your house. Insulating these areas can minimize the heat flow, saving energy dollars.

Since walls have windows (a very bad insulator), it is important to beef up the insulating quality of your walls as much as possible to compensate.

The Department of Energy recommends R-13 in walls and R-25 in flooring over crawl spaces in Georgia.
