Sealing Drafts

What: Drafts are like a drain in your bathtub.  When you take out the plug, you can see and hear the water drain out.  Cracks, gaps, and holes in your walls and ceilings let air from your house leak out.  They need to be sealed.

Sealing one doesn’t make a big difference, but sealing dozens will make a big difference in your energy bill. Sealing drafts around doors and windows makes your building envelope more air-tight. However, the most detrimental drafts are often caused by gaps in attics and crawlspaces.

Sealing for drafts is a dirty job.

NRG SVRS seals drafts and gaps in homes by using silicone and acrylic caulk, expanding spray foam, door sweeps, and weather-stripping.
