Replacement Windows
A double-pane window is like a koozi for your coffee cup.
If you've ever tried to drink hot coffee from a paper cup, you know how hot the cup can get. That's because the paper cup conducts heat from the coffee easily. If you put that cup inside a foam koozi, the cup is a lot cooler (and it stays hotter longer.) The same can be said about cold drinks in paper cups. The air space in a double pane window is like the koozie's foam. It keeps heat from transferring through the window.
Windows can significantly contribute to a home's comfort and energy efficiency. By letting in sunlight, they provide warmth in winter, which will save energy and lower monthly heating bills. Proper design and the use of exterior shading can also lower cooling costs in the summer.
There's more to windows than just clear glass. See more details.
